Engraving
Engraving, also known as Intaglio printing, is a print process that is raised, it is often described as “embossing with ink”. This is the print process that we started our shop with. Designs are still engraved into copper, though we no longer carve by hand. This allows for fine detail, stunning dimension, and is still our favorite process to run.
Embossing &
Debossing
Embossing and debossing are opposites. Embossing is where the design is raised up from the paper. Debossing is where the design is pressed down into the paper. Whether we are using our engraving presses to emboss or our letterpresses to deboss, we are equipped to create tactile experiences without any ink necessary.
Letterpress
Letterpress is the reverse of engraving in function. The design is pressed into the paper, creating a debossed image. Although historically a deep impression was not desired, modern letterpress pushes the limits of the paper. Creating beautiful hills and valleys that compliment the design of every piece.
Foil Stamping
Foil Stamping is hot! Up to 300 degrees hot. Another debossing process, the heat is what makes the foil transfer, leaving behind the design in the chosen foil. It is an excellent process to use to cover large areas but also makes fine type shine. Our foil providers have many colors and finishes to choose from.
Die Cutting
Die Cutting is simply the process of using a bladed die to cut shapes out of large sheets of paper. We often use die cutting to cut out the flat shapes of folders and envelopes, which we then convert into their final folded forms. But die cutting is not only limited to those two products. We have used die cutting to create 3D paper ornaments, center pieces, butterfly shaped wedding cards and many more custom pieces.
Digital Printing
Our digital presses are not your average at home inkjet printer.
Our printers can handle sheets of paper from ultra light weight 16 lb. to sturdy 130 lb. with the wide variety of sheets sizes going from 4”x5.75” all the way up to 13”x19”.
Finishing Services
We offer a wide array of finishing services in house that allow the effort of design and print to really shine its’ brightest. Our finishing services are cutting, duplexing, scoring, corner rounding, edge painting, staple binding, hole punching, and envelope lining.
